In contemporary society “consent” is almost exclusively associated with sex, but consent goes much further, encompassing all aspects of human communication and relationships and should be synonymous with non-violent communication practices. In this speaking series we will learn how to implement consent and non-violent communication practices in our internal and external: mental, physical, and spiritual communications and relationships. We will learn how to act without making assumptions and communicate intentionally. Students will gain a deep understanding of the types of consent, consent practices, consent process, and communication consent systems: acceptance of consent, denial of consent, and acceptance of denied consent. After completion of the series students will be able to share and implement consent practices into their daily life and in every internal and external communication exchange.
